I
know what you are thinking, “Someone else trying to sell me
something”, but read on because I am different
to the other so-called management, leadership, career ‘gurus’,
as most of them have simply positioned themselves as experts BEFORE
they acquire the knowledge and wisdom needed to back up their claims.
A number of so-called ‘experts’ are selling their unproven
techniques, which are often copied and therefore have no real actual
experience.
Have
you ever wished that someone who has already created huge wealth
in their career would "mentor" you, teach
you everything they know and then watch over your shoulder
to make sure you do things the "right way" first
time... so you can be wealthy and
successful, too?
Here
is something else you should know: Most of the Management "gurus"
make the vast majority of their money from public speaking. That's
right, just talking about it!
So
Why Am I Different?
I
am Andrew Rondeau and was born and raised in a poor area of London,
one of five children all living in a small 3-bedroomed house. We
couldn't afford any luxuries or have any holidays.
I
had 3 jobs whilst still at school, which earned me $100.00 a week
(based on today's rate), of which $20.00 went to my mum for keep.
After leaving school I went to college, dropping out after
1 year, choosing career and money over education.
My
first full-time role, aged 19 earned me $15,000.00 (at today’s
rate with inflation), as a Pensions Clerk. I worked hard, but decided
that I wanted to have the lifestyle and earnings
that the Managers around me had. But I could see it was almost 'hit
and miss' on whether you succeeded or not - or so I thought.

Other
Managers struggled - working long, long hours and
coming in at weekends just to 'catch-up'. They felt they had to
be seen to be busy. You know the ones (maybe you?),
who slave away for hours looking really busy, but getting
nowhere FAST, always first to arrive in the office and
last to leave, whining about ‘too much work’,
have no time for their staff and moan about their
boss. They can’t delegate and can’t
take holidays because of too much work. They're
always stressed and totally out of control.
Over
the years I have seen numerous managers demoted (or fired)
because they just could not cope with the demands.
They
couldn't cope with the demotion either and eventually left to find
another position elsewhere with their confidence level so low -
they took any job which came along just to get out of the company!
So
back to me - I wanted to be the instantly respected Manager earning
the high incomes, so that's what my aim was, so I needed to be seen
and be in demand. I started working extra hours, volunteering for
extra tasks, delivering high quality work and providing
support to my co-workers. I let the managers and my boss know I
wanted to become a manager and then one day I was asked the ultimate
question, 'Do you want to be a Manager?'.
I
Used To Stay Awake At Night Worrying
I
was ecstatic and of course I accepted. I struggled in my early months,
lying awake worrying, scared to ask anyone
for advice or support, wanting to do a good job but not
knowing what to do.
But
I had to learn the hard-way, making mistakes and
missing out on promotions and extra bonuses.
I was resentful for not being where I wanted to get to,
blaming everyone else but myself and then almost being fired. I
was experiencing the 'struggles' like other so-called Managers and
decided to do something about it.
That
was it, I had to change, I read all the Management
self-help books and manuals, making pages of notes. I attended courses,
conferences, seminars, asking lots of questions and trying all the
tips and ideas listed.
Suddenly
I was seeing how easy it was to be a First-Class Manager, managing
staff, building rapport with customers, managing your boss, delegation,
delivery after delivery. I was getting noticed
and getting attention! The senior bosses wanted
me on their teams, because my over delivery, made them
look good and if they look good (because of you), you are fully
supported and well rewarded.
Do

One
year I was promoted twice, gaining a 30% increase
in my earnings and I was also ‘head hunted’.
I was becoming well known in the ‘management market’,
all because I had decided to change my approach, put in the hard
effort up-front and now it was easy. Copy my way,

have worked and managed in numerous large companies and different
types of business including Manufacturing, Retail, IT and Financial,
managing teams from 10 individuals to 1000! I have been
